Played So Far: As much as I could stand (a couple of hours)

Well should I break down why this a bad game? Bad Graphics? Check. Bad Sound? Check. Bad Level Design? Check. The controls are passable. I really gave this game every chance in the world. Ever since I played the demo on XBL I thought it was going to be a fun, if average game. The odd thing is when you get to that one little spot in the game it's still fun, the rest is just bad, or at best sub-par. I didn't bother looking into the MP, but honestly if it's really any better email me and let me know, but ask yourself with Orange Box (incl. Team Fortress 2), and Call of Duty 4 out is it worth it? Heck go play some more Halo 3...buy Timesplitters: Future Perfect (is it on the compatibility list yet??). Friends don't let friends buy Blacksite.

Highlights include
- driving a jeep through miles of empty terrain, with the occasional stop to get out and shoot a few enemies
- levels that have hallway after hallway of emptiness punctuated with the odd room where you get jumped by a few waves of enemies
- finally finding a new weapon only to realize it's worthless (I actually don't mind the gun you start with)

Anyways I could go on with an in-depth analysis of this game, but it's wasted enough of my time. (To the guy who ended up buying this off me from eBay, I'm truly sorry...maybe you can pass it off as a joke gift or something...or pay it forward) I have never given a game so much leeway, desperately hoping to find that kernel of gaming goodness the short demo promised. I downgraded from Average Shooter, to Diamond in the Rough, to Tragic example of a flawed game, to ebay.

Rating: 20% FAIL. This game is an unfinished mess with really nothing recommend it. I sure hope Yahtzee doesn't review this game, it probably kill him, and I would really miss the Zero Punctuation reviews.

Plays Like

Just buy something else! If you are looking for sci-if you could pick from The Orange Box or Crysis these days. There's too much good stuff out there to waste your money on this game.
